One of my best friends, Richard, and I, made a decision in the fall of 1995 to get Wolf Cubs! Now, having a WOLF in California, is not legal, so we got WolfDogs. Yep, in January of 1996... Raven Serenity and Alabaster Storm were born. At five and a half weeks they came to live with Richard, Johnny, and I in the "Hollywood House."

The cubs moved with Larry & I to Riverside. Richard and Johnny visit them often. They have a great habitat that will soon be expanded, and love to come out with us and play in the garden. They adore their Aunties Nicole, Alex & Roxanne.

It takes special humans to be owned by wolfdogs. They make wonderful companions, BUT lousy pets! And for that reason, I do NOT advocate ownership. I don't think any big dogs should be around small children. WolfDogs can be shy and nervous around strangers, preferring the safety of their known human "pack." They can be territorial. They can destroy your house if left unattended. They have serious "wolf-tiffs." They can EAT other pets, and we have to be more than cautious to make sure the kittens and the cubs do NOT cross paths under ANY circumstances. They can take an eight foot fence fence, and learn quickly to open the refrigerator, doors, and gates.

Communication and understanding their nature is essential. WolfDogs are NOT for MOST people. For that reason, the cubs have been fixed, as 99% of the people I know personally, could not handle the amount of care and consideration wolfdogs require (but many love to visit them here). Larry and I cannot just go on vacation for a week and leave them with just anyone. All that in mind... they are truly one of our greatest joys in life, and PROOF animals have souls >^..^<
