ENCHANTED GARDEN
SPRING & SUMMER 2004 |
NOCTURNAL VISITOR November 3rd, Storm will not stop barking. Now Storm is not a barker... several trips outside have shown nothing. No intruder, no stray dog, nothing. Finally, Larry went outside with a flashlight determined to locate the source of Storm's endless alarm. Finally, following Storm's gaze, he saw movement in the tree above the habitat! BIRD SURVIVES SEVEN CATS I came home November 17th to stuff knocked over, out of place and strewn over the floor. In the kitchen all seven cats were staring up. Following thier gaze I saw nothing... at first. Then I saw the tiny bird sitting atop of the coat of arms. Somehow this crazy little sparrow got in and managed to survive a day being hunted by our felines! Kitties secured, Larry caught it and took it outside. It flew up and away into the night. MINNIE NOT THE MOUSE This adorable little lady got lost from her mommy this spring! We watched over and fed her for a week until it was clear mommy was not coming back, and we took her to a wildlife rehabilitator so she could have proper care until she was big enough s1to be re-released. THE RESIDENT RAVEN Since the day we moved in, one raven had staked our enchanted garden as his turf. He greets me every morning and patrols the neighborhood with his pals. Finally, after five years, he consented to have his photograph taken! Enchanted Garden 2004 Enchanted Garden 2003 Enchanted Garden 2002 Enchanted Garden 2000-2001 Get GoStats |
