"Sorcha Riamh" Apparition (phasmatis antequam)

PX Cover

She was a phantom of delight
When first she gleamed upon my sight,
A lovely apparition, sent
To be a moment’s ornament;
Her eyes as stars of twilight fair,
Like twilights too her dusky hair,
But all things else about her drawn
From May-time and the cheerful dawn.

~William Wordsworth (1770–1850)

THINGS PEOPLE SAY...
"There is one that actually made me gasp out loud when I clicked on it. It's the first one in the third row. It's got the starry sun thing happening, and the combination of the clarity of the graveyard contrasted with the fuzziness of her and then increasing fuzziness behind her, plus the slightly melacholy expression she has and the seeming unawareness of the photographer, all those things together make it look like she really IS a ghost, and the sadness makes you connect with her on an empathetic level. That one in particular just caused an emotional reaction, you know? That one got to me."
