Dawn & Twilight
Blue eyes reflecting the sea and sky of high noon Muscles ripple with kisses of pure solar light And golden locks shine like the sun's own rays You and I are different as black and white Like the cool winter warms and melts into the spring Daylight fades through shades of grey into night Tides flow, seasons change, and courtship begins You and I have the best of the dark and the light Green eyes reflect nocturnal pools and the full moon Pale, soft flesh with kisses of the iridescent night And auburn tresses like the flames of fire Our paths cross each other at dawn and twilight Teach me all the treasures the day has to behold And when the light is beneath cloaks of midnight I will teach you the secrets of the shadow hours As our hearts and souls entwine and take flight You are my Sun God, burning me with desire Who lives in a world with radiance so bright I will be your Moon Goddess, a bit mysterious Who roams dressed in veils of the night I will chase you over the land and across the sky By both bright of day, or by dark of night Our lives may now exist in world set apart But we embrace each other at dawn and twilight |
