Friendship

Friendship is a thing that binds, through all of time and space
And if you go in search of it, you will not find a trace
What we have found in each other, we may not cross again
For in you I have discovered, a true and honest friend

It is an understanding, the feelings that we share
And how whenever I need you, you are always there
Its the laughs and smiles, through all the tears
That have kept this friendship, all through the years

It is trust and secrets, that build the wall around

I keep the memories locked inside, for no one else to see
Safely kept inside my heart, with you the only key

When I am feeling blue, I open up my heart
I am comforted by bits of time, though we are apart
Little things I hear and see, remind me of that time when...

Down the road in years to come, when everything has changed
We will look back on these times, and think them rather strange
If we live in different worlds, we must always keep in touch
