MODELS WANTED
I am on the lookout for a few fresh faces for fantasy photo shoots: elf, faerie, warrior, vampire, goth, gypsy, pagan, witch, etc. All ages (18 and over), sizes, shapes and races welcomed. Variety is the spice of life and all beings are beautiful. Responsible adults, some sanity and no drama required! I shoot in Riverside, CA (and occassionally surrounding areas). MY SHOOTING TIME IS LIMITED: I book a maximum of ONE shoot per month. Some months I am shooting other things or have other plans and don't book shoots at all. Shoots are only available on Saturdays and are booked well in advance (usually 2-3 months). Do NOT waste my time if you are not serious. I DO NOT PAY MODELS and I do not pay for models expenses (including travel): This is a hobby for me and makes little in the way of funding. I provide a copy of photographs to models on cd as the ONLY form of payment. Models must agree to sign a model release before shooting AND provide/allow a copy of ID for age verification (models must be at least 18 years of age). Sorry, no exceptions. I do not shoot minors outside the family of friends. You can see the model release here. Do NOT contact me if you are under 18 or unwilling to sign the release. Photo galleries will be published on this website. I will link a gallery in which a model appears to the model's website upon request. I take input from models on which photos they like/dislike, but I have final say. Photographs will be used in future publishing at my sole discretion. Models may use MY PHOTOGRAPHS of them for PERSONAL USE ONLY: websites, portfolios, myspace, etc. as long as I am credited: photo Jessica Black www.primalx.com or photo www.primalx.com. Photographs may NOT be used for any commercial purpose without my previous written permission. I retain all copyrights. I have no interest in shooting: - nude/adult - boudoir pics for your boyfriend - gore/horror - bands (live/studio) - headshots - weddings/events I have a good amount of costuming, but encourage models to bring anything they have that works with the decided theme (often models have great stuff that fits them perfectly). I have many set items and props, but models are welcome to contribute to both. I have several wigs. I shoot no more than three costume/set changes in one sitting. Models can do make-up, I can arrange for make-up prior to shoot, or I will do it myself. I have a kit with lots of lipsticks, glosses, eye shadows, liners, etc. Feel free to bring any other make-up you have as well. I have a special effects kit with fangs, ears, fake lashes and lots of glitters and goth colorings. WHAT TO EXPECT AT A SHOOT ARRIVE ON TIME: I do not start set up until the model arrives. Expect sessions to be FUN, but also some WORK. Expect 1-2 hours for make-up and costuming and the actual shooting to last 2-4 hours (depending on the type of shoot and number of costume/set changes), and time of day. Expect to hold perfectly still for long exposures during night or low light shoots! DO NOT BRING PEOPLE OR ANIMALS WITH YOU: Models may bring one person to shoot with advance permission. The model's guest must understand they will be sitting around for hours, and will not be included in the session. Do not bring children or animals of any kind. BRING YOUR ID: I need to make a copy for the model release. DO NOT WEAR FRAGRANCE OF ANY KIND: No perfume, scented body lotion or any kind of fragrance. I AM VERY ALLERGIC, and you will be sent away! IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO CATS: Please let me know prior to a session. You will not be able to go inside, so other arrangements will need to be made in advance. BRING YOUR OWN: - concealer - base/foundation - powder - mascara Basic beverages will be provided, feel free to bring your own if you prefer. We will probably order pizza ;-) INTERESTED? I will NOT open attachments because of virus risk. I don't need your measurements or details. Please DO let me know what type of shoot/s you are interested in! I schedule a meeting with new models prior to the actual shoot. We can finalize theme, set, costuming... and everyone is more comfortable the day of the session. IF YOU CANNOT MAKE A SHOOT: Please let me know as soon as possible, I may be able to schedule someone else that is waiting. Please note if you cancel a shoot, it will be some time (probably months) before I can re-schedule. If you cancel twice, expect not to be booked again. |
